Our network is built up on Cisco switches and Juniper routers. Using OSPF and BGP to keep the packets flowing should there be an issue. I’m about to beef up the Oxford network as its currently running on a single Core Cisco Catalyst and Cisco Catalyst running as Aggr. HSRP and VTP are going
Network Monitoring with Cacti
We have a range of machines running Cacti across our network. The majority which monitor and graph our customer machines run on Windows which is something I need to change… The infrastructure is monitored by a Cacti Linux machine.
I’m in the process of rebuilding the main monitoring boxes so that they are running Cacti and Linux. The cactiusers.org website contains hundreds of templates and ideas.
Cacti is just a right royal pain in the arse.
